Born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, I moved to Calgary in 1979. After working in the oil patch, I completed a two-year business program at SAIT, majoring in management. In 1982, I started my career with Servpro Cleaning Ltd. as an estimator/manager.

During my next nine years with Servpro, I traveled throughout Canada and the United States attending cleaning seminars, conferences, and conventions.

In 1986, I was president of the Alberta Rug Cleaner's Association, and by 1987, I was president of one of the Servpro companies—which was, at that time, one of the largest cleaning companies in Western Canada.

I left Servpro in 1991 for a general manager position with Alberta Carpet Cleaning. After a year, I realized my destiny in the cleaning industry was to start my own business.

I purchased a competitor (ProClean Ltd.) and started ComPro Services Ltd. Over the next ten years, we transformed this turnkey operation into a full service cleaning business offering carpet cleaning, restoration, furniture cleaning, and other specialty services to residential and commercial customers. Many of our highly-valued first clients still use our services today.

In 2002, the new owner of the Servpro Group of Companies approached us to purchase their carpet cleaning division. With the customer base of ComPro and the recognized brand of Servpro, we became one of the ten largest residential and commercial cleaning firms in Calgary—growing 300% over three years under the Servpro name. ComPro and Servpro mutually terminated their licensing agreement in 2005, and ComPro hit the ground running as an independent company.

Today, the management and staff at ComPro are very excited about our future. With certified and highly-trained technicians and state-of-the-art Cleanco™ truck mounts, ComPro Services Ltd. has the experience and resources to offer all of our customers the most professional and most complete cleaning services for their home and business.
