What You Should Know About Your Carpet

About Your Carpets | FAQs | Stain Guide

  • We spend over 80% of our time indoors
  • The air quality of the spaces we spend most of our time in (i.e. home or workplace) has a direct impact on our health and wellness
  • Air quality is affected by many factors, including the cleanliness of surfaces within our environments (i.e. carpets, floors, furniture)
  • Regular cleaning and maintenance of floors, carpeted surfaces, and furniture improves the quality of the air we breathe.

Carpet & Fabric Care:

Carpets and other fabrics within the home and office act like big filters— attracting and trapping dust, dirt, and allergens. Regularly vacuuming your carpets, upholstery, and draperies is recommended for regular maintenance. However, periodic "deep cleaning" is also important, particularly if you have concerns about asthma, allergies, pet stains, odors, and maintaining your “manufacturer's warranty".

Did you know?

Carpet manufactures often offer 5, 10, and even 15-year warranties on their products. Many, such as Dupont™, also specify guidelines for maintenance and periodic cleaning which must be followed in order to preserve the warranty.

  • The IICRC Educational Program on carpet cleaning certifies every ComPro technician.
  • All our customers can be assured that our invoice is your warranty protection.
  • Please read Dupont's™ warranty brochure or visit http://www.stainmaster.com to find out more.

Recommended Maintenance:

  • Vacuum frequently with a beater-bar type vacuum
  • Rotate and relocate furniture, to distribute wear evenly
  • Spot clean spots and stains before they set (see spot chart below)
  • Replace under-pad if premature wear occurs
  • Periodic cleaning by certified professionals; frequency can depend on the amount or type of traffic. A rule of thumb is to clean carpets before they look dirty.

At ComPro, we employ only certified technicians. We realize the investment our customers spend on carpets requires the most professional service, and we want you to be satisfied with the results. When you call ComPro you get the Complete Professionals.
